This project is aiming at installing five terminals of Raspberry Pi connected to internet for innovation hub in each center. One of the terminals will be connected to a tele-medicine kit which will have sensors to capture the body temperature, blood pressure, blood sugar level, heartbeat that will be transmitted to the doctors via Internet of Things (IoT). Concert for a good cause

On August 20, the city of Akron will rock on to popular Nepali music.  Top artists from Nepal such as Nima Rumba and Dilip Rayamajhi will perform Nepali music to entertain the audience.  Local dancers and musical groups will also join the duo on stage during the event marked as Nima Rumba night.

This event is organized by the Guthee Foundation, also known as Guthee.  It is a non-profit, charitable organization that functions through its strong network of volunteers based in Nepal and the USA.  Guthee manages health, education and environmental preservation projects by mobilizing local communities and providing self-sustaining skills to the community members. Its major sources of funding include individual and organizational donors, fund-raising events, and the income generating projects in local communities.

Summer Fundraiser Event organized by NAOO in support of CNSO at Forest Picnic Area in Cleveland Metroparks

NAOO would like to thank all of the participants for NAOO Summer Fundraise Event at Forest Picnic Area in Cleveland Metroparks. Special thanks to CNSO and NAOO executive member who took the lead to prepare food items including onsite BBQ. It was a free event to recognize the effort put together by its members.
The center attatraction of the event was celebration of Outstanding officer award to Mr Nikesh Prajapati from NAOO to recongnization of his leading role in Nepal during Earquake Emergency rescue and support. Nikesh spoke about his experience working on the ground.
The other attraction of the event was onsite BBQ and Volleyball Tournament, Handmade Jewelry by Saniya, and NAOO’s T-shirts imprinted with Earthquake’s theme. NAOO’s officer Surya Thapa took the initiative to organize the tourney.
Congratulation to Kent Volleyball team for their second year consecutive winning. Also thank you for your generous donation of your winning price.
Last but not the least, NAOO would like to thank its members who volunteered the event to make it one of the very successful events.

Fundraiser Lunch at Greater Cleveland Shiva Vishnu Temple in Parma

NAOO’s effort to raise donation of $10,001.00 to support Akshya Patra’s emergency fund kitchen in Bhaktapur, Nepal. The kitchen will provide hot fresh meals for survivors of the Nepal earthquakes. The detail news is available here. The appreciation letter is included in the slider below.

NAOO would like to thank Greater Cleveland Shiva Vishnu Temple for its help in organizing Fund raising lunch at Patel Hall. Special thanks to Manhar Shah who took the lead and Anish Karki who initiated it. NAOO was granted permission to setup booths for NAOO and its vendors. The major attractions around the booths were Saniya’s handmade jewelry, Janet’s Scentsy scents, Shweta’s henna, NAOO’s T-shirts imprinted with Earthquake’s theme, and Clevemandu’s Nepali handicrafts, which provided additional financial support for earthquake victims in Nepal.
Last but not the least, NAOO would like to thank its members who volunteered the event to make it one of the most successful events.
